Footsoldier D

Footsoldier D/Fighter is the main protagonist of the superhero manga and anime series, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! He is a low-ranking soldier of the Villainous Army, seeking to defeat the Rangers, also known as the Dragon Keepers. He often takes on the identity of Hibiki Sakurama and was assigned to the Green Battalion by Kanon. D is voiced by Yūsuke Kobayashi in Japanese and Zeno Robinson in English.

After 13 years of oppression by the Dragon Keepers, D forges a strong sense of honesty and goodness, sparking his own revolt. Motivated by vengeance after Footsoldier F’s death, D decides to kill Red Keeper and destroy Dragon Keeper. In his human form, D often acts insecure due to fear of being exposed as a Duster in public. He also fears death and is willing to do anything for his goal.

He has the ability to shapeshift and mimic human appearances, becoming an expert combatant and intelligent fighter. He can fight multiple members of the Ranger Force and even one-to-one duels with the Blue Keeper. However, D is vulnerable to various weapons, including daggers and firearms, and Divine Tools, which can damage and even kill him. Despite using dynamites to escape and fake his death from the Keepers, D struggles to regenerate his body, including a portion of his stomach and experiencing pain after battles.

Hibika Sakurama

Hibiki Sakurama is a character in the Ranger Reject Series, the younger brother of Sesera Sakurama. As an Independent Cadet, Hibiki aims to restore the Rangers’ sense of justice and a world where Invaders and humans can coexist. After the Rangers’ search for Sentōin D, Hibiki let D assume his identity and went off on his own to seek solutions. After the war between the Rangers and the Invader Rights Association, Hibiki founded the Neo-Rangers to expose the truth of the Rangers and establish a new age of peace between Invaders and humans.

Hibiki is a fair-skinned young man with short peach coloured hair, bangs, and bright green eyes. He was an Independent Ranger before being scarred by Aran Hekiru and wore the standard independent uniform. After being injured by the late Blue Keeper, Hibiki ditched the footsoldier costume and replaced it with bandages and boots. After a timeskip, he wears a plain jester’s suit and a cockscomb. His simple mask features a simple smile and closed eyes, with tear-drops drawn under it.

Hibiki is cheerful, positive, and has a strong sense of justice and harmony, desiring a peaceful world where monsters and humans can coexist. He is willing to befriend monsters and learn from them, even if it means killing someone if they deserve it.
