Bofuri is the new anime in the genra of isekai and it won't be wrong to say that among so several anime in the isekai genera, this series managed to stand out. It's worth our time due to its worthy protagonist who unlike many other isekai anime leading character, does not follow the regular convention we have been watching in this genera for the sake of entertainment. This article is all about this anime series and why you should not miss this it. The theme of Bofuri seems like the same as Sword Art Online and is not completely an isekai genre. The characters in this anime are playing the engaging MMORPG, which is titled as New World Online which is different from their mundane life. Apart of some real world elements, it is like any other isekai anime based on JRPG. Maple, who has a very little experience in playing these games selects shield as her weapon and level up all defensive skills so that she won't get hurt. She transforms into a strong tank that can't be destroyed and is motionless with no attacking power. But that doesn't restrain her from in exploring the world. She put curing potion in the poisonous dragon to bite him and get all its powers after its demise. She also gets a bunch of armor that she uses for counter attack. When her friend, Sally enters the game, Maple misuses a protection spell, she distorts herself before Sally inorder to compete with her massively high speed. These tactics are against the rules of playing these games but her joyful errors give her superiority and ill-fame among others players. It's something new to witness someone having fun in the game rather than playing to be perfect in it. Since Maple has no gaming experience, she has no idea how to interact with these players in the game so she uses her kind nature to make friend every next player she encounters. Her kindness becomes the key of attraction and all new and new players becomes part of her crazy tactics and soon realizes that she is a breath of fresh air in this skeptical world. Sally is very loyal to her as a friend, although she is a regular gamer but she trust Maple because no matter how wrong her method is, it always prove to be right in the end. They also make a group with the title of Maple Tree and hire the whole ragtag group to stay in a house made of a huge stump in the forest. Maple also has a turtle called Syrup who has the ability to turn into an enormous size and fly. She chose this ability just to have fun ride on its back. We all need a lively and fun-loving friend like Maple in our lives. Sadly this anime consist of only 12 episodes which is not enough as we want to see and explore more in this world where we could get more entertainment from the shenanigans of Maple. The designs of dragon is attractive, the diverse characters are entertaining and fun to watch, the best player Payne is mysterious and we are always eager to see the next weird tactic of Maple. The novel on which the anime is based on has a lot of stuff that could be adopted in season 2 so there is a possibility for a new season. If you are into lighthearted anime with a cute and relatable female protagonist who has a lively nature and brightens her surrounding with her light, you should definitely not miss Bofuri. It doesn’t matter if you are not into isekai, Maple will surely make you love this one.
